Ingredients for Baked Sweet Potatoes: Sweet potatoes 2 large (approximately 550g), Sugar 15g, Heavy cream 50g, Mozzarella cheese to taste, Dried cranberries to taste, Almond slices to taste.
Method:


Step 1: Slice the sweet potatoes and steam them until cooked (try to cut them thin to reduce cooking time).


Step 2: While still hot, mash the cooked sweet potatoes. I prefer a finer texture, so I sieve them, but it’s not necessary.


Step 3: Mix in the sugar.


Step 4: Stir in the heavy cream.


Step 5: Pour the prepared sweet potato puree into a baking dish and smooth it out with a spatula.


Step 6: Spread a thick layer of mozzarella cheese on top.


Step 7: Optionally, sprinkle dried fruits and nuts according to personal preference; I used dried cranberries and almond slices.


Step 8: Place in a preheated oven and bake at 180°C for 16 minutes, watching closely in the last few minutes to avoid burning.


Step 9: Delicious baked sweet potatoes are almost ready. A child waits eagerly by the oven, wondering when they will be done.


Step 10: Almost ready to come out of the oven.


Step 11: Ready to serve and enjoy.


Cooking Tips for Baked Sweet Potatoes: 1. Adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste. 2. Heavy cream can be replaced with yogurt or milk. 3. Oven temperature and time are for reference; adjust according to your oven’s characteristics and the size of your baking dish. 4. Dried cranberries and almond slices are optional and can be replaced with other dried fruits or nuts based on preference.
